Dengue – Ayurvedic Herbal Treatment

Dengue fever is a benign, acute, febrile syndrome occurring in tropical regions. Dengue has been called the most important mosquito-transmitted viral disease in terms of morbidity and mortality. Fever, rash, bone pain, and nausea and vomiting symptoms of common diseases. the virus causing the growth of a small proportion of cases, lead to vascular permeability, bleeding condition, which is similar to the disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) and is known as dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF). Dengue fever is not contagious person-to-person contact.

Medications like Panch-tick-tack-Ghrut-Guggulu, Triphala-Guggulu, Sukshma-Triphala, Kamdudha-Ras, Ras-Chandrakala, Laxmi Narayan-Ras, and churned-Maha- Sudarshan Praval- used to treat fever Bhasma. Rash treated with similar drugs Mahamanjishthadi-qadhi, Saarivadi-churned, Arogya-Vardhini and Panch-tick-tack-Ghrut.

Bone pain can be severe dengue, and several weeks. It is treated with similar drugs Laxadi-Guggulu, Panch-tick-tack-Ghrut-Guggulu, Triphala-Guggulu, Vish-Tindi-Vati, Vat-Gajankush-Ras, Maha-Vat-Vidhwans-Ras, Maha-Rasnadi-qadhi, Dashmool- qadhi, Godanti-Bhasma, Shrung-Bhasma, Sarpagandha (Rauwolfia serpentina) Khurasani ova (Hyosciamus niger), Nirgundi (Vitex negundo), Rasna (Pluchea lanceolata), Vishwa (Zinziber officinalis) and Jayphal (Myristica fragrans). Nausea and vomiting can be treated with similar medicines Shankh-Vati, Sutshekhar-Ras, Laghu Sutshekhar-and-Panchamrut Pravo.

DHF can manifest bleeding spots on the skin, nosebleeds, bleeding gums, bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract and heavy vaginal bleeding. Internal bleeding can cause severe circulatory collapse and shock. Bleeding can be controlled, reduced or prevented similar drugs Chandrakala-Ras, Kamdudha-Ras, Haridra (Curcuma longa), Amalaki (Emblica officinalis), Naagkeshar (Messaoud ferrea), Sphatik-Bhasma (purified alum), Laxa (Purified wax), Clothes (Adhatoda vasaka) Chandan (Santalum album), Usheer (Vetiveria zizanioidis) Manjishtha (Rubia cordifolia) and Saariva (Hemidesmus indicus).

Most patients had fever usually settles within 7-8 days of treatment. Patients with DHF require hospitalization in order to prevent complications such as circulatory collapse and death. Such patients survival is directly related to the hospital early and aggressive supportive care.
